Rev. Wallace Lee Eddlemon
(January 18, 1923 - March 12, 2012)

Rev. Wallace Lee Eddlemon, 89, of Eudora, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Oak Woods Nursing Home in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Rev. Eddlemon was a native of Pearcy, Arkansas; a resident of Eudora for the past four years and a former resident of Parkdale. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a retired Assembly of God Minister having been ordained for over 58 years and has pastored Assembly of God Churches in Mansfield Arkansas, Macedonia Texas, Dumas Arkansas, Lake Village Arkansas, Noxapater Mississippi and Bentley Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by a son, Rev. Randall Eddlemon in 2007; his parents, Willie Lee and Betty Weathford Eddlemon; a sister, Floy Sarafin and four brothers, Henry, Roy, Thurmon and Lloyd Eddlemon.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pearlie Mae Scarbrough Eddlemon; a daughter, Charyl Lee West and husband, Rev. Roger, all of Eudora; a sister, Ella Short of Orville, California; a granddaughter, Candace West Posey and husband, Aaron, of Junction City, Kansas and a great-grandson, Matthew Posey.

Funeral services are 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Indian Switch Assembly of God Church with Chris Hammond and Ronnie Kelley officiating. Burial will be in the Dry Bayou Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronnie Kelley, James Knight, Chris Hammond, Patrick Welch, Henry Welch and Harold Dobbs. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Knight, Donald Harris, Gene Martar and Bill Jackson. Memorials may be made to the Indian Switch Assembly of God Church, 6723 South HWY 159, Eudora, AR 71640.
