James Lloyd Eddlemon, a longtime resident of Friendswood, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Lloyd was born January 13, 1928 in Percy, Arkansas to the late Will L. and Bettie (Weatherford) Eddlemon. Lloyd proudly served his country in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He retired from Camco, Inc. in 1990 after 34 years of service. Lloyd was a member and deacon of Pearland Church of Christ. He was instrumental with Clean Pearland for his church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Lloyd was an avid Astros fan and was a strong supporter of High School athletic teams.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Jean (Randle) Eddlemon. He is survived by a loving family; his daughter, Donna Jean Russell and her husband, John; sister, Ella Mae Short; brother, Wallace Eddlemon; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

'The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 2, 2007, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. Funeral services celebrating Lloyd??Os life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 3, 2007, in the Chapel of Clayton Funeral Home with D. C. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer??Os Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633, 1.800.272.3900, or to the Medina Children??Os Home, 21300 State Highway 16 North, Medina, TX 78055-3808, 1.830.589-2871,
