Services for James H. Eddlemon, 86, of Rt. 1, Greenville, will be held 2pm today, in Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel, with Gary Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hooten, Dan Shipmanek, Allen Baker, Ralph Scroggins, Harold Matlock and Fred Sifuentes. Mr. Eddlemon died 12:45 am Saturday in a local hospital.

He was born Nov. 22, 1888 in Hot Springs, Ark., the son of Charles H. Eddlemon. He married Ira Ruth Evans July 20, 1920, in Greenville. He was a retired farmer, served in the U.S. Army during WWI and was a Jehovahs Witness.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ira Ruth Eddlemon; two sons, Wayne Eddlemon, of Amarillo, and Bill Eddlemon, of Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Black, of Greenville; one brother, Will Eddlemon, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Mrs. Annie Diggs, of Oregon; eight grand children and six great grandchildren.
