George and Merle were married when they were 19 years old and remain married today. They live in the house which they built, at the beginning of their marriage, by the side of the pacific Highway at Brooks, Oregon. George had always been interrested in raising horses of the racing blood and still trains and races his animals on the tracks in the northwest.
