'Mrs. Alfred Rex Die Suddenly - [handwritten date prob. pub. date = Mch 21 1930]
Mrs. Alfred Rex died suddenly at her home Thursday evening. She was apparently in her usual health when death came from apoplexy.
Mary B. Rex, only daughter and eldest child of Israel and Belle Salsberry, was born November 11, 1873 in Pike Township, Fulton County, Ohio and departed this life March 13th, 1930 at her home in Wauseon.
In 1892 she was united in marriage with Alfred Rex, and they settled on a farm in York Township where their four children were born. One son, Archie, died in infancy. In 1917 the family moved to Wauseon where the remainder of her lifewas spent.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, three children, Mazzina, Joseph, and Mrs. Ruby Ufer; six grandchildren, Rosemary, Geneva, Wayne, Dale, and Corrine Rex and little Rosemary Ufer, who was her constant companion; one brother, Dr. G.R. Salsberry of Lyons, Ohio and a foster brother, Herman Warwick of Mishawaka, Indiana. Besides these there are a large number of relatives and friends.
She was a mother in the truest and finest sense of the word, ever ready to do her duty. Home and family ties were first and foremost in her mind and heart. We way of her: 'Her sun hath set, while it is yet day.''
