"Irene, Aunt Vanjie's dau., would visit them regularly. She was in
charge of nursing at the Masonic Home located nearby."
"Uncle Tom and Aunt Vanja Hildebrand lived in Beatrice. They had four
children. Irene, whom I have mentioned previously; Cecil who was killed in
France in the 1st War; Elton whom I never did see or know much about (I believe he died in the flu epidemic in Chicago); Floyd, who was a great favorite of mine and came down to Grandma's a lot. He worked at the soda pop factory and I just loved to go to Beatrice and visit them. Irene was a nurse at the Beatrice Hospital. Uncle Tom wrote for the Denver Post. They finally moved out to Boulder, CO and lived there for many years."
