Mrs. Caroline Lucky.
TABLE ROCK, Neb., Feb 3 -- Mrs. Caroline E. Lucky, widow of Enoch Lucky, died at her home just north of DuBois, ten or twelve miles south of Table Rock, 27 Jan, in her eighty-fifth year. Mrs. Lucky settled on the farm where she died in the year 1857, the homestead being a couple of miles north of the ancient city of Cincinnati.

Springfield, Illinois.
"As a little girl, grandma was raised in the Decatur/Springfield area of
Illinois. Abraham Lincoln lived just a few miles away, a short distance then,
and would come over to their house and borrow books. She sat on his lap many a time. A local tribute was paid to grandma before I left as the last person in the area to know Lincoln. A relative of grandma's was the woman that md. Lincoln."
