Notes about Roelf Vos

In 1896 verhuist Roelf met zuster Elsiena en zwager Jan van Klinken van Vlagtwedde naar Valthermond. Op een andere gezinskaart van Jan van Klinken staat bij Roelf Vos Stiefzoon. Omdat toen 21 jaar pas volwassenheid gaf is hij waarschijnlijk als stoefzoon geregistreerd.

In het bevolkingsregister van 1900 ( nog zonder kinderen) staan een aantal opmerkelijke zaken. Anna heeft als achternaam Kars. De "t" is weggevallen. Van beroep was Roelf Timmer Draaijer, hout bewerker lijkt dus. Als vorige woonplaats is Arnhem opgegeven, met daaronder vermeld "strafgevangenis". De dagtekening van vestiging is 1904 en 1908 naar Heerlen vertrokken. De kinderen worden vreemd genog niet genoemd, al zou Tjitske al geboren zijn. Een andere optekening van het bevolkingsregister laat wel de inschrijving van Tjitske zien.

Bij geboorte van Tjitske wordt beroep van Roelf omschreven als Kastelein.
Bij de overlijdensakte van Tjitske staat dat vader Roelf van beroep Timmerman is. Als plaats van overlijden staat Exloermond (Odoorn), maar als woonplaats staat Kerkrade.

1905 Omdat Roelf Vos in de overlijdensakte van Tjitske staat vermeld dat hij Timmerman is, vermoed ik dat hij en zijn vrouw Gerrit Albertus Vos hebben opgevangen, toen hij als 11 jarige jongen van Drenthe naar Limburg werd gestuurd. Gerrit Vos heeft daar het beroep van timmerman geleerd en hoe kan dit beter als oom Roelf timmerman is.

Roelf Vos sluit een lening af voor 210 Gulden tegen 5% rente met als onderpand een stuk bouwland gelegen in het Hopelderveld.
