 De laatste van de generatie van mijn vader Petrus Joseph (Piet) van der Stoop (1911-2001) was mijn tante Gré . (Margaretha Maria Heerens(1917-2012).Zij overleed op 25-10-2012 en was gehuwd met de jongste broer Arie van mijn vader. We kregen een uitnodiging om de crematie in Driehuis Westerveld bij te wonen. Hierbij liepen we een aantal neven en nichten tegen het lijf, die ik jaren niet had gezien, laat staan gesproken. Bij thuiskomst zei ik tegen mijn vrouw Tineke, "toch raar dat je zo weinig contact hebt, terwijl we elkaar vroeger op verjaardagen wel regelmatig tegen kwamen. Ik ga er wat aan doen ".

Ik heb het "gratis"stamboomprogramma  Aldfaer gedownload en ben begonnen. Na verloop van een korte tijd heb ik samen met mijn zoon Patrick op Facebook de eigen pagina gemaakt " Stamboom Family van der Stoop"genaamd.

Hierop begon ik berichtjes en foto's te plaatsen. En zo is het gekomen..
