Sake Simons is degene geweest die van Nederland naar België geemigreerd is. De reden van die verhuis was waarschijnlijk het feit dat hij in Nederland gezocht werd door de politie omdat hij zijn dienstplicht niet wou vervullen.
Hij zou een bekend kruidendokter geweest zijn, waar de mensen vanuit Nederland naartoe kwamen.

Sake Simons komt op 15 november 1878 aan in België, Antwerpen.
Op 13 december 1878 wordt hij ingeschreven voor de woning Kronenburgstraat 46 S 8. Hij woont hier als hij op 24 mei 1979 trouwt met Smulders Johanna Petronella. (Zij woont dan in de Korte Nieuwstraat 16 S3 en is meid; zij vertrekt hier op 6 juni 1879)
Op 6 juni 1979 vertrekt het echtpaar naar Korte Vlierstraat 3 S 4 en blijft daar tot 26 augustus 1880.
Het volgende adres is Geuzenstraat 10 S8 en dit tot 4 november 1880.
Het echtpaar verhuist dan naar de Wijngaardstraat 18 S 1. Hier wordt hun oudste zoon Henricus Johannes Franciscus geboren.
Vanaf 7 maart vinden we hen terug in de Lange Noordstraat 28 S 2 waar hun tweede zoon Arnoldus Jacobus Maria geboren wordt.
Op 24 november 1882 verhuizen ze dan naar de Korte Koolstraat 37 S 5 waar nog een zoon Joannes Antonius en een dochter Christina Joanna Wilhelmina geboren worden.
Vanaf 2 maart 1885 tot 12 november 1885 wonen ze in de Korte Koolstraat 31 S 5. Hier overlijden hun twee jongste kinderen. Op 12 november 1885 verhuizen ze dan naar Mortsel.

In politiedagblad 21 juli 1876:
De Burgemeester van Zierikzee verzoekt opsporing, aanhouding en opzending van Sake Johannes Fredericus Simons, oud 20 jaren, laatst verblijf gehad hebbende te Hillesluis bij Rotterdam, die nalatig is gebleven om aan zijn oproeping ter inlijving voor de nationale militie te voldoen. Zijn signalemant is:
