    Johannes Bartholomeus Simons wordt in Middelburg geboren op 24 juni 1829 als zoon van een schoenmaker.
    Zelf wordt hij kleermaker.
    In 1848 wordt hij voor 5 jaar ingelijfd in het leger. In juli 1855 wordt hij ontslagen.
    Ondertussen heeft hij de weduwe Maria Anthonetta van Woerkens leren kennen.
    Anthonetta was gehuwd met Johannes Jobse in 1829. Op 6 februari 1853 bevalt zij van een tweeling ( 2 meisjes). Op 18 februari 1853 wordt zij weduwe!! ( is er een epidemie en overlijden ook de kinderen?).
    Op 8 augustus 1855 trouwt Johannes Bartholomeus met Anthonetta en op 24 april 1856 wordt hun zoon Sake geboren.
    Het huwelijk houdt geen stand wordt ontbonden (echtscheiding ingeschreven op 27 november 1860).
    Ondertussen is Anthonetta naar Zierikzee verhuisd. Daar worden vier kinderen geboren:
    Christina Wilhelmina Simons geboren op 26 september 1860
    Anna Jacoba van Woerkens op 1 maart 1863
    Anthonia Helena van Woerkens op 21 maart 1866
    Sophia Anthonia van Woerkens op 6 augustus 1869, zij overlijdt op 8 januari 1870.
    Waarschijnlijk heeft Anthonetta haar zoontje Sake mee naar Zierikzee genomen.
    Sake verschijnt in september 1876 in Antwerpen ( op de vlucht voor de militie?).
    Anthonetta verschijnt op 14 april 1877 samen met haar drie kinderen, geboren in Zierikzee, in Antwerpen. Zij leeft in concubinaat samen met Arnould de Jager. Zij zal hiermee trouwen op 10 april 1880, haar twee jongste kinderen worden in dit huwelijk erkend en krijgen de naam de Jager.
    Op 24 mei 1879 trouwt Sake (voerman) met Johanna Petronella Smulders ( in juli 1876 in Antwerpen aangekomen). In de huwelijksakte wordt vermeld dat Anthonetta van Woerkens aanwezig is, evenals Arnoldus de Jager (voerman, 53 jaar, stiefvader).Was ook aanwezig Jacobus de Baart (voerman, 29 jaar, zwager). Deze was waarschijnlijk gehuwd met één van zijn halfzussen.
    Sake woont tot in 1885 in Antwerpen, tot in 1900 in Mortsel, tot 1904 in Edegem, tot 9 oktober in Mortsel en vraagt op 17/12/1914 een verblijf aan in Antwerpen.

    Maria Christina Simons (wettelijke zus van Sake? Of is het een halfzus?) trouwt op 6 mei 1882 met Hendrikus Wilhelmus van Bussel (24 juli 1854beboren te Voorst NL)beenhouwer, in Antwerpen. Van Bussel is op 10 augustus 1878 in Antwerpen toegekomen en woont dan in de Kerkstraat 173. Op 29 januari 1898 komen zij terug in Antwerpen terecht na een verblijf in Bressoux (Luik) rue Colompré 47, zij gaan dan wonen op de Mechelse steenweg 149.Blijkbaar hebben zij ook nog gewoond in de Carnotstraat 93, Turnhoutse baan 203 in Borgerhout en vanaf 1 mei 1904 in de Kerkstraat 173 in Antwerpen. Op 11 mei 1934 vertrekt Christina als weduwe uit Antwerpen en gaat wonen op de Turnhoutse baan 18 in Deurne.

    Door de provincie Zeeland in 1848 als loteling ingedeeld bij het 6e regiment infanterie. Na zijn diensttijd tekent hij bij als milicien. Hij gaat over naar het eerste regiment infanterie. Diensttijd eindigt in 1854 en hij ontvangt een bewijs van goed gedrag.
