Zij schrijft dat ze de kaart van moeder (Jannetje Drieënhuizen ) heeft ontvangen. Er is hier altijd nog een vlam brandende voor jou a lleen, zo schrijft ze. Triest is dat Gerritje al overlijdt in 1923 e n hun enige zoon John op 18-jarige leeftijd door een auto-ongeluk o m het leven is gekomen.
