Notes about Gijsbertus Cornelis (Beb) Severijn

Zijn eerste huwelijk met Alida Bos, onderwijzeres uit Rijsenburg en bevriend met zijn zuster Jeanne vond plaats vlak voor zijn benoeming als predikant in Schelluinen.
In 1926 werd Waarder zijn volgende gemeente, alwaar op 25 november 19 26 een levenloos zoontje werd geboren, waarna de gezondheid van zijn vrouw Alida verminderde en zij overleed op 27 maart 1927 in Utrecht in het Diaconessenhuis.

Zijn jonge dochters Jattie en Ida werden tijdelijk ondergebracht bij familie. Jattie in Dordrecht bij oma Severijn en Ida bij de ouders van Bert Severijn in de Zadelstraat in Utrecht

Dominee Severijn is voor de tweede maal in het huwelijk getreden met Geertruida Johanna Lammerts van Bueren. In 1931 verhuisden ze naar Muiden alwaar dochter, Johanna Cornelia (Joke), werd geboren op 20 juli 1933 in Utrecht, gelijk met Gijsbertus Cornelis (Bert) Severijn, vernoemd naar haar vader.

Later vertrok hij naar Ter Aar en op 26 september 1948 werd hij bevestigd in Hoogeveen door zijn broer Prof. Dr. J. Severijn.

Vanaf 1958 was hij emeritus predikant NH-kerk in Bunnik. Zijn laatste levensjaren zijn doorgebracht in Bunnik aan de Pr. Beatrixstraat 15 . Zijn foto dateert waarschijnlijk begin vijftiger jaren in Hoogeveen , hetzelfde geldt voor zijn tweede echtgenote Truus.
