Evert J. Scholten, a native of Alton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dirk Scholten, died in the Pioneer Home at Orange City Tuesday afternoon, June 18. Mr. Scholten, apparently in about usual health, passed away of a heart attack while taking his afternoon nap. He would have 81 years of age had he lived until July 8.
