Notes about Jeanne Charlotte LAGERWEIJ

Lottie was de beauty van de familie en internationaal georiënteerd: ze sprak diverse talen vloeiend, maar erg gelukkig is ze in haar korte leven niet geweest.
Met haar eerste echtgenoot woonde ze in St. Petersburg waar ze de effecten van de Russische revolutie aan den lijve ondervonden heeft.
In een brief aan haar zus Lili, vertelt ze hoe de revolutionairen door de ramen naar binnen schoten en dat zij sliepen met een geladen revolver onder het kussen.
Ze hebben net op tijd weg kunnen komen.
Ze waren in Stockholm en pension bij barones Von Wrangel. (zie haar brief aan Lili bij EXTRA’s)
Getuigen bij het huwelijk van Lottie en Harry waren broers Alfred en Anton, oom Anton, rechter in Alkmaar en Gerard Ripping, neef en burgemeester van Alkmaar. Harry heeft op een gegeven moment een eind aan zijn leven gemaakt: omdat hij totaal geruïneerd was naar men zegt.
Lottie hertrouwde in 1925 met Jean Pedone, met wie ze in Rome heeft gewoond aan de Via Piave 14.
Ze stierf in Zwitserland aan de gevolgen van een lever/gal-operatie in juni 1945.
Van Billy heeft men na zijn laatste brief aan zijn oom Alfred en tante Nancy in 1961, nooit meer iets gehoord en niemand weet, hoe het hem daarna vergaan is
