Notes about Alfred Gualtherus LAGERWEIJ

Alfred, de zoon die het uiteindelijk zou brengen tot generaal-majoor, verloor zijn eerste echtgenote Han Snel, aan leukemie en bleef achter met een tweejarig dochtertje Wimmie, dat hem op zijn vele militaire verplaatsingen vergezelde.
Hij hertrouwde pas acht jaar later met Nancy Hijner, die voor Wimmie een lieve tweede moeder was en kreeg bij haar een zoon: Anton.
Het Bevolkingsregister vermeldt over Alfred alleen dat hij op 30 november 1893 vanuit Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel terugkeert naar Zutphen om in september 1902 naar de Koninklijke Militaire Academie te Breda te gaan
