In 1927 werd Pieter voor f 51.492,- eigenaar van de boerderij Noorddijk 2.
In 1930 liet hij op het erf een arbeidershuisje bouwen.
Volgens de Veetelling uit dat jaar bezat hij 23 melkkoeien, 14 kalveren, 8 fokzeugen, 5 biggen en 25 kippen.
In 1933 moest hij zijn bezit verkopen aan Meijnoutje Blokker.
Piet bleef als pachter op de boerderij tot hij in 1938 naar Alkmaar vertrok.
4 jaar later deed Meijnoutje het over aan de Stichting "Schim van der Loeff-Dijkman fonds".
Toen kreeg de boerderij de naam "Loeffendijk".
In 1967 kocht Nicolaas Smit de boerderij.
