Notes about Catharina Theodora Jeanne "Tincky" de Klark

Tincky verlooft zich op 4 april 1931 met Geert Mulder, een student tropische bosbouw uit Velp, Prins Hendriklaan 5. Hij studeerde in Wageningen. Op 17 augustus 1937 treedt het stel in het huwelijk. Het uniform dat Geert als trouwkostuum droeg, was geleend van een vriend. Geert had zijn studie afgerond en was werkzaam als opperhoutvester.
Na haar trouwen vertrok Tincky met haar man op 1 september 1937 met het stoomschip Johan de Witt naar Benkoelen, Sumatra, Nederlands Oost Indië. De twintiger en dertiger jaren waren de beste tijd in Nederlands Indië, en dat lokte veel Nederlanders.Na de Japanse inval in 1942 werden Tincky en dochter Marieke in Japanse kampen ondergebracht. Geert werd op transport werd gesteld, richting Birma. Doordat hij ziek werd kwam hij niet verder dan Singapore, waar hij de rest van de oorlog verbleef. Na de Japanse capitulatie wordt het gezin herenigd en komt naar Oosterbeek om op krachten te komen. De kleine Marieke is er slecht aan toe. De dokter geeft weinig voor haar overlevingskansen. Vader Geert moet zich in Utrecht onder behandeling laten stellen voor oogklachten. In juni 1946 laten zij zich weer inschrijven.
In juli 1947 vertrekt Geert weer naar Medan, waar hij als bosbouwconsulent aan het werk kan. In februari 1948 volgen Tincky en Marieke. In augustus 1952 komen zij voorgoed terug naar Oosterbeek. Eerst naar 't Zonneheem en in maart 1954 verhuizen Geert, Tincky en de drie kinderen naar hun nieuwe huis aan de Benedendorpsweg 114.
Geert, die tot zijn pensioen bij Staatsbosbeheer werkt, overlijdt op 15 mei 1990. Tincky heeft later nog enige jaren in Doorwerth aan de Beethovenlaan 159 gewoond en daarna in Bennekom.
