Notes about Allert Bannink

Allert is geboren in Hummelo als zoon van Gerard Bannink (1883) en Fokeltje Andela (1887) op tweede kerstdag 1920 op het adres Hummelo, Wijk A, No 7. Later Dorpsstraat 25. Hij is vernoemd naar Allert Andela, de vader van zijn Friese moeder.
Allert groeide op en ging naar school in Hummelo. Hij heeft daar nog wel de zevende klas van de Lagere School geprobeerd, maar vond dat niet leuk.
Al op jonge leeftijd (13 -14 jaar oud) ging hij met zijn vader naar de Doetinchemse IJzergieterij in Langerak bij Doetinchem. Daar is hij zandvormer geworden. Hij maakte mallen voor rioolbuizen gietklaar. Anders dan zijn vader en zijn oudste broer (Jan) is hij niet altijd op de gieterij gebleven. Hij werkte achtereenvolgend bij: Verblifa in Doesburg, Van Eik een klein metaalbewerkingsbedrijf in Ulft of Gendringen en daarna toch weer op een ijzergieterij, zij het als slijper, bij Vulcaansoord in Gaanderen bij Terborg. Daar heeft hij zich ook verdienstelijk gemaakt in de ondernemingsraad van het bedrijf.
Naast zijn werk om de kost voor zijn gezin te verdienen, was Allert actief als praktiserend Christen. In de Hersteld Apostolische Zendingsgemeente in de Eenheid der Apostelen bekleedde hij achtereenvolgend de volgende ambten: diaken, priester en voorganger van de Gemeenschap Doetinchem en later herder van meerdere gemeenschappen, waaronder Apeldoorn. Op 5 maart 1989 ging hij met emeritaat.
Met zijn vrouw Nans had hij vijf kinderen.

Allert woonde met zijn vrouw Nans (Naatje) in een huurwoning bij de DYG in Langerak. In 1953 kochten zij de helft van een dubbele woning aan de Pr. Alexanderstraat 8 in Doetinchem. De andere helft werd gekocht door zijn broer Jan. Allert en Nans verkochten de woning in 1978 en kochten een woning aan de Kruyderstraat in Apeldoorn. Na 1987 huurden zij een galerijflat aan de Stationsstraat in Apeldoorn. Daar is Allert op 28 januari 1995 overleden.
Anders dan zijn vader en eerdere voorouders is Allert niet begraven, maar gecremeerd, evenals later zijn vrouw.
