Geeske Alta was the fifth child born to Jacobus and Geeske, Geeske moved to Hull from Harlingen along with the rest of her family on 30th October 1894. In 1901 she lived in the family home at 15 Villa Place, Hull. The 1901 census show her age as 15, her occupation was a Milliner. Geeske married in 1906, she married Edward Sayers Bentley. They had three children; Edward who was born in 1908, Geeske who was born in 1912 and James who was born in 1919.
