Biography
Donald Haan, 89, of Lennox, South Dakota died Friday, January 2, 2015, at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center.

Donald Alfred Haan was born on April 7, 1925, near Chancellor, South Dakota the son of Alfred Luverne and Florence Marie (DeNeui) Haan. He grew up in the Chancellor area attending rural school and graduating from Chancellor High School in 1943. Don served in the U.S. Navy, during WWII from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946.

On March 22, 1956 he married Leona Mae Klinghagen at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Lennox.

The couple made their home on farms near Davis, SD and moved to their home farm in 1968. Leona died on October 10, 2001. Don moved into Lennox in 2006.

Don was an active and faithful member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the Bertus-Jergens American Legion Post #283 in Chancellor.

Besides his wife and parents, Don was preceded in death by his son Loren on October 25, 2014 and five brothers: David, Wayne, Daniel, James and Frank.
