Funeral Service for Michael J. Kramer, 61, of Herman, Minnesota will be held Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Herman, Minnesota with Pastor J.C. Duncan officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert M. Kramer, Christopher Dalseide, Daniel Oachs, Dany Pederson, Lane Wirtjes, Phillip Groneberg, David Oachs & Dale Ennen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael's great nieces and great nephews: Kendra Jae "Tilly" Dalseide, Payton Dalseide, Andrew Kramer and Abbey Kramer. Interment will be in Eden Reform Cemetery, rural Herman. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 25th from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the United Methodist Church.

Michael J. Kramer was born on February 2, 1946 in Morris, Minnesota to John F. and Dora (Bruns) Kramer. Michael attended country school where his Aunt Margaret was his teacher, then went to the Herman-Norcross School where he graduated in 1966. Michael attended Alexandria Technical School for 2 years where he took up agriculture. He has farmed all his life with his father, brother and nephew. Michael was a lifetime resident of Grant County, Herman, Minnesota. He was a member with NFO for many years and very active with the FFA. Michael has lived a very productive life considering all the medical issues he had to deal with. Michael's zest for life was his farming and the pride he had for it. He loved restoring old tractors and collecting new ones. He was a true friend to everyone, he loved telling jokes and teasing people. You always saw a wave and smile out of Michael. Michael had a strong bond with his niece and nephew, and most importantly his great-nieces and great-nephews. He's an uncle to be proud of. He was really getting into his computer during his spare time.

Michael passed away October 20, 2007 suddenly at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by his family.

Michael is survived by his mother: Dora of Herman, Brother: Robert (Linda Armes) Kramer of Herman, nephew: Robert Michael (Tammi) Kramer of Herman, niece: Kimberly Kramer Dalseide of Herman, 2 great-nephews: Payton Dalseide & Andrew Kramer, 2 great-nieces: Kendra Dalseide & Abbey Kramer, one very special aunt: Margaret Kramer of Herman, aunts: Joyce Kramer of Morris, Minnesota, Janelle Kramer of Iowa, Vivian Bruns of Clark, South Dakota & Violet Bruns of Clark, South Dakota, one very special uncle: George Kramer, and many very close cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his father: John, and two sisters: Sharon and Glenda.

Ranney Funeral Home in Herman, MN was in charge of arrangements.
