Having been recently diagnosed with a rare heart condition, Frank Klinghagen died suddenly at his farm home Wednesday evening Jul. 15, 1997. He attained the age of 61 years, three months and four days.

Franklin Ross Klinghagen was born on Apr. 11, 1936 in Sioux Falls, SD the son of Rosezena (Fincher) and Sam Klinghagen. He grew up on a farm near Harrisburg, where he attended Bubolz Rural School and later graduated from Harrisburg High School.

On Aug. 20, 1958 he was united in marriage with DiAnn Erickson at the First Methodist Church of Sioux Falls.

Frank worked at Traub Silo after high school. For two years he managed the Western Bearing Store. In 1962 he began working for Malloy Electric and was instrumental in starting the Bearing Division. In 1966 he began farming which he loved and enjoyed the past 31 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Klinghagen on Jun. 28, 1983.

Grateful for having shared his life are his widow,DiAnn, one son David and his wife, Laurie and grandsons, Dustin, Tyler and Austin of Lennox; one daughter, Nancy DeNeui and her husband, Bruce and grandsons Drew and Zachary; his mother Rosezena Klinghagen and brother Leland Klinghagen both of rural Harrisburg.
