David L. Eykamp, 65 of Oldham, SD died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at his home from natural causes.

David was born on January 2, 1949 to Linus and Marjorie (Knight) Eykamp. He was raised in Oldham and graduated from Oldham High School in 1967. He attended Dakota State College and graduated with a B.S. degree in business. He then went to work at what is now Green Thumb Commodities north of Oldham.

David married Susan Ault on March 30, 1985. They welcomed into the world a daughter, Michelle in 1986 and a son, Alex in 1988. Other survivors include his mother, Marjorie, one brother James (Jean) Eykamp of Oldham, SD two sisters, Linda Watson of San Diego, CA and Pam Libby of Madison, SD many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by a host of other family, friends, neighbors and business associates.

He is preceded in death by his father, Linus and his grandparents.

Funeral services for David will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church rural Ramona, SD with Pastor Becky Senner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Oldham Lutheran Church in Oldham and before services in the church at Ramona.
