William Eykamp

LAKE PRESTON – William Eykamp, 55, formerly of Lake Preston, died Thursday at his home in Roll, Ariz. where he owned and operated a welding shop.

Funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the United church of Christ, Lake Preston, with the Rev. David Andrews officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Preston City Cemetery.

Eykamp was born Oct. 28, 1921 at Lake Preston to Mr. and Mrs. Will Eykamp. On Dec. 12, 1945, he married Betty Crawford at De Smet. He was a veteran of World War II when he served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Philip and John, both of Roll; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Sanders, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Kathy Braman, Lander, Wyo.; his parents and three brothers, Roy, Australia, Linus, Oldham, and Merle, Roseburg, Ore.

Johnson-Henry Funeral Home, Lake Preston, announced the arrangements.
