It is my hypothesis Freerk's middle name John is an anglicazation of the name Jan. Giving a middle name Jan would fit the vestages of the patronomical naming system reluctantly surrendered by the Ostfrieslanders. Freerk's father's name is Jan & Freerk's paternal grandfather's name is Freerk. - D.A. Navorska - xxx May MMXXII - in proximo Grove, OK.
