"Ude Wieman, Sr. -- and his wife Thelka (Tillie) Luppen came from Germany to Illinois, and then to Lyon County. They first farmed east of George, then moved to different farms in the area. Their children were Anna (unmarried); Albert (married Ada Heidebrink); John (married Ida Shaffer); Martha (Mrs. Chris Shaffer); Ude (unmarried); Nora (Mrs. Jake Veen); Christina (Mrs. John Lenderts); Tille (Mrs. Lyle Brandt); and Ella (Mrs. Frank Tirrel)."
