George, Iowa -- Mrs. Frank Tirrel, 79, George, died Wednesday at her home of sudden illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Frank Elliot will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under direction of the Vogelaar-Bolin Funeral Home.
Mrs Tirrel, the former Ella Wiemen, was born June 8, 1897 in Lyon Coumty. She was married April 8, 1920 at George. Her husband died July 8, 1961.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Arthur (Thelma) Sohl of George and Mrs E. Alfred (Ellen) Meyer of Clarissa, Minn.' a son, John, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Veen of George and Mrs Tille Bradt* of Pasadena, Calif. (Sioux City Journal, Sioux City, Iowa, Fri., 13 May 1977, p. 7)
