"Jonas Otto Carlson
Jonas Otto Carlson, 64, passed away at his home, 1000 East Twenty-sixth st., Monday after an illness of six months.

Rev. H. J. Glenn will officiate at the funeral services, the time of which has not been set. Miller funeral home is handling the arrangements.

Until his recent illness, Mr. Carlson was a custodian at Sioux Falls Army Air Field. He was a member of First Lutheran church.

He was born June 17, 1881, in Sweden, married Ingrid C. Anderson on April 11, 1911, and came to the U.S. in 1914, settling in Roseau county, Minn. In 1916 they took up residence in Canton, S. D., and moved to Sioux Falls in 1925.

He is survived by his widow, nine children, five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Magnuson, Pencer, Minn.; and Mrs. Erika Pearson, Minneapolis.

His five sons, all of whom live in Sioux Falls, are Rune, Arne, Elmer, Arlo, now in the army, and Dennis. The daughters are Mrs. Louis Picasso, Mrs. Leonard Shaffer and Mrs. A. Licon, all of Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Harold Niewald, Hartford.

Four sons and two sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery."
