Linda Jean (Stubbe) Spiller was born December 17, 1946 in Sibley, Iowa to Charles and Jean (Jamieson) Stubbe. She was baptized and confirmed by faith into Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, George, Iowa. She attended school and graduated from George High School in 1964. Linda then attended Airline School in Kansas City, and later attended Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. She moved to New York and worked for American Airlines at Kennedy Airport.

She married David Spiller September 4, 1971 in New York. To this union two children were born. She later sold real estate and worked for Macy's in New York as a sales associate.

Linda died suddenly Friday, February 17, 1994 at Port Jefferson, New York.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Sean Spiller, of St. James, New York; one daughter, Meredith Spiller, of Port Jefferson, New York; her mother, Mrs. Jean Stubbe, of George, Iowa; four brother, Dennis Stubbe and his wife, Diane, of Alton, Iowa; Charles Stubbe, and his wife Sandy, of Cherokee, Iowa; Mahlon Stubbe, of Sioux city, Iowa; Brent Stubbe and his wife, Mary, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; three sisters, Zoe Madsen and her husband, Robert of Merritt Island, Florida; Glee Wiersma and her husband Paul, of George, Iowa, Jill Schmitt, and her husband, Gary, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; also, many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles (June 10, 1992)

Funeral services were held for Linda Jean Spiller on Thursday, February 23, 1995, at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George, Iowa with interment at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, west of George.
