"Dennis Bosma
Dennis Dean Bosma, age 76, of Plainview, MN, passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 3 at Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview, MN. Final resting place will be in the VA cemetery in Preston, MN at a later date.
Dennis was born October 15, 1942 in Rake, the son of Ed and Elizabeth Bosma. While in high school, he was active in sports, lettering in football, basketball, and track. He was president of FFA and the County 4-H Club. He graduated from Buffalo Center in 1961. Following high school, he atteded NIACC and graduated with an AA degree. In 1965 - 1968, he was in the Air Force serving in Texas, Mississippi, Turkey and the Philippine Islands during the Vietnam era.
He later graduated with a BA from Concordia College, St. Paul, MN and a MS from Saint Mary's University, Winona, MN. He married Bonnie Mosman on October 10, 1970. The luckiest day of his life! He worked for the Kahler Corporation of Rochester, MN for 20 years and served as director of the IT Department. Dennis founded Bosma Technology Resources, Inc. in 1997 and worked until his retirement.
He was active in several organizations throughout his lifetime. He helped start and served as president of the Northland Children's Oncology Services, prior to it being the Rochester Ronald McDonald House. He was active in 4-H and served as a leader for over 20 years. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Plainview and served on several committees, including the personnel, session, special gifts, and endowment committees to name a few. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and reading. He took several hunting and fishing trips with his friends and family. He believed in giving back to his community and served on the Lake Zumbro Improvement Association, and was a member of Duck's Unlimited, Lions Club, and American Legion.
Dennis will be remembered by his wife, Bonnie; children: Lance (Jodie), Roy (Renee), Mary (Jason) Jewison, and Robert (Tina); and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Minnesota or Community Presbyterian Church of Plainview."
