"George W. Jutting

Funeral services for George W. Jutting, 84, Phoenix, Arizona were held Tuesday afternoon, March 25, 1980 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. John Ritsema officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemeteryand Winter Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Juern Akkermann, Joe Akkermann, Randy Jutting, Steve Boomgarden, John Boomgarden and Mike Sweats. Ella Dirksen was the organist, and Marlene Krull, the soloist.

George W. Jutting was born on March 1, 1896 at Buffalo Center to Wessel and Sophie (Ascher) Jutting.

He received instruction in catechism at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Titonka and in later years became a member of the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center.

He was married to Minnie Jurgens on February 9, 1934. She died on September 9, 1938 and he later married Stena Tiedens on February 12, 1942. They farmed near Buffalo Center and then moved to town. They later moved to Phoenix, Arizonawhere they "resided at the time of his death.

He submitted to surgery in February and recovered completely. He died quietly at his home early Thursday morning, March 20, at the age of 84 years and 20 days.

He is survived by his wife, Stena; three sons, Howard of Kanawha; Roger and Gerald of Arizona; one stepson, David Tiedens of Arizona; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Irons of Arizona; Mrs. Venue (Stella Mae) Boomgarden ofFort Dodge; Mrs. Willie (Ruth) Akkermann of Buffalo Center; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Wirtjes of Sibley; Mrs. Christena Heyer of Woden and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife.; his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Wirtjes and Mrs. Tillie Smith, and two brothers, August and John." <>
