Dick Steen was born in Germany on January 28, 1863; he came to America and worked at Wellsburg, Iowa. Henrietta Kaiser was born in Germany on January 7, 1875 and came with her parents to America. Dick and Henrietta were married atWellsburg on March 1, 1895. They moved to Buffalo Center in 1903 and farmed southeast of town. Their children were: Minnie, Maggie, Jennie, George, Fannie, Ida, John, Dickie, Louie, and William. Dick died on October 24, 1942 andHenrietta on August 19, 1975.

Minnie was born at Wellsburg and passed away on June 21, 1975. Maggie was born at Wellsburg on December 14, 1896; she was married to George Meinders on February 6, 1918, and they had four children: Vergie (died in infancy), Henrietta,Dorothy, and Raymond. ..." <>

_de at Funeral Which Was Held Tuesday

In the past week death removed from our midst two mothers; both ___ in the prime of life. The obituary of Mrs. Sleper, who passed away Wednesday, April 18, appears also appears in this issue of the Tribune.

The community was severely shocked with the sudden, death of Mrs. Geo. Meinders-a young woman, the picture of health, always cheerful and ___tly strong.

___ the death messenger calls when and where least expected; and the passing of Mrs. Meinders is such an [occurance ?]. She reflected the sunny side of her disposition in all the [activities ?] of her home and social life.

The funeral service was held from the home and from the Reformed ___ Tuesday afterrioon. The ___ wasn't near large enough to accomodate the large crowd of sympathizng friends who came to pay their last respect to the departed.

Maggie Meinders, nee Steen was born in Grundy county; Iowa, ___ 14, 1896. She came to Winnebago county in 1903. In 1918, on ___, she was united in holy wedlock with George Meinders. The home was blessed with 4 children one of whompassed away in infancy. Mrs. Meinders passed away on Saturday, April 14, at about 3:30 p.m., after an ___ of less than a week. She reached the age of 37 years, 4 months and __ days.

She leaves tn mourn her husband and 3 children; Henrietta, Dorothy and Raymond; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dirk Steen; 2 sisters, Minnie Walters, Grundy County, and Fannie Risius, Titonka; 5 brothers, George, Louis and William ofBuffalo Center, and John and Dick of __lward, Iowa; and a still larger __aber of other, more distant relatives and friends. Two sisters preceded her in death. May our heavenly Father graciously take the sorrowing ___ under His wings oflove and ___ for and comfort them.

Relatives from out-of-town for the __l of Mrs. Meinders were: Mr. and Mrs Harm Walters and family, and Mrs. Louie Kaiser and family from Wellsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Meinders and family of Klemme; __ Walters and sons, Mr. and Mrs. __ Waltersand baby, Dick Wal__l from Buck Grove; John Kal__ and daughter of Rockford; also Harm Flessner of Buck Grove; and Mrs. Mike Steen and son of __; Mrs. Mrs. Geo.
