Dick Steen was born in Germany on January 28, 1863; he came to America and worked at Wellsburg, Iowa. Henrietta Kaiser was born in Germany on January 7, 1875 and came with her parents to America. Dick and Henrietta were married atWellsburg on March 1, 1895. They moved to Buffalo Center in 1903 and farmed southeast of town. Their children were: Minnie, Maggie, Jennie, George, Fannie, Ida, John, Dickie, Louie, and William. Dick died on October 24, 1942 andHenrietta on August 19, 1975. ..."
