Katherine Poppe was born on February 19, 1919 on a farm three miles north of Lakota to Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Poppe. She attended Lakota Public School and graduated in 1937. She lived and worked for people around Lakota.

In 1945 she married Albert Goetz, and they farmed in the Ledyard-Lakota area. In the 1960's they purchased his parents' farm and lived there until retiring to their home in Ledyard. Albert and Katherine are the parents of three sons:Derald, Rodney, and Keith."

Katherine Poppe was born on Feb 19, 1919 on a farm three miles north of Lakota to Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Poppe. She attended Lakota Public School and graduated in 1937. She lived and worked for people around Lakota.

In 1945 she married Albert Goetz and they farmed in the Ledyard-Lakota area.

In the 1960's they purchased his parents farm and lived until retiring to their home in Ledyard. They are the parents of three children; Derald, Rodney and Keith.
