On May 10, 1916 Adolp and Lene were united in marriage in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lakota ,,Iowa.

They farmed the family farm at Ledyard until 1923 when they purchased a farm north of Lakota where they farmed until they retired in 1951.

Due to the early death of her mother , she helped to take care of her brothers and sisters. Later on in life she worked in Minneapolis, Minn as a maid amd hostess.
