COSHOCTON- Evelyn W. Philabaum, 93, of Pataskala, formerly of Coshocton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.

She was born on Oct. 31, 1914, in Coshocton, to the late Jess and Nellie Cox Eick. Evelyn was a graduate of Coshocton High School in 1932 and was employed for 43 years at Pretty Products in Coshocton. She was a member of St. Johns UnitedChurch of Christ, Order of the Eastern Star and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2040 Ladies Auxiliary. She married Gail Philabaum in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1974.

Surviving are a son, Rick (Laura) Philabaum of Pataskala; two daughters, Judy Guilliams of Conesville, and Sandra (William) Medley and of Coshocton; 10 grandchildren, Gayle (Bob) Dickerson, Tana (Jim) Fortney, Kevin Medley, Denise (Jeff)Farmer, Beth (Randy) Mullins, Jennifer (James) Fleming, Steve Philabaum (Cathy), Scott (Colleen) Philabaum, Shauna (J.T. Harris) Philabaum and Shane (Ashley) Philabaum; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and oneniece, Cathy (Robert) Kirch.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rodney Guilliams; and a brother, Richard Eick.

A private family funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, with Pastor Randy Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. There will be nocalling hours.
