George W. Geese, 85, Fresno, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Rose Lawn nursing home, West Lafayette.

He was born Aug. 16, 1874, in Coshocton County, a son of Christopher and Hannah Philabaum Geese. On July 4, 1898, he was married to Mary Schumaker, who survives, with three daughters, Mrs. Earl Lahm, Sugarcreek, Mrs. Glenn Zimmerman,Fresno, and Miss Della Geese, Coshocton; six sons, Victor, Harry and Russell, Fresno, Joseph of Huntington, Ind., Ray of Dover and Max of Marion, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. ...
