Harry G. Geese, 68, of Fresno, a retired employe of Norfolk and Western Railroad, died in County Memorial Hospital at 5 a.m. today following a short illness.

Mr. Geese was born March 21, 1906, in Fresno, the son of George and Mary Schumaker Geese. He was a member of the Fresno United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys Thomas Geese, who he married June, 26, 1929; one daughter, Mrs. Welch (Mary Beth) Sprague, Fresno; one son, Thomas, Fresno Route 2; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Lahm, Sugarcreek, Mrs. Glen (Mertle) Zimmerman,Fresno, and Della Luke, Coshocton; five brothers, Victor and Russell, Fresno, Max, Ind., Joe, Huntington, Ind., and Ray, Dover; and four grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Fresno United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Arthur Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Given Funeral Home in West Lafayette, and one hour prior to services at the church.
