Geese 79, Cambridge, died today at 2:30 a.m. in a Cambridge hospital following a lingering illness. He was a retired farmer of the Hopewell vicinity and was a member of the Hopewell Methodist church; IOOF lodge, and Indian Campgrange. He was born March 30, 1872, in Coshocton county, a son of the late George and Catherine Lower Geese. He was first married to the former Jessie Brower, who died July 10, 1896. On Oct. 9, 1901, he was married to the former Nettie Marlatt,who survives. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Anna Chloe Hosfelt of the home, three brothers, J. O. Geese of Cambridge Route 1, Charles Geese of Coshocton and I. P. Geese of Indianapolis, two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the McCracken funeral home, Cambridge. Rev. James Martin will officiate and burial will be in the Northwood cemetery, Cambridge.
