He was a retired farmer of the Hopewell vicinity and was a member of the Hopewell Methodist church; IOOF lodge, and Indian Campgrange. He was born March 30, 1872, in Coshocton county, a son of the late George and Catherine Lower Geese. He was first married to the former Jessie Brower, who died July 10, 1896.
