GEESE DIES IN HOSPITAL FROM BURNS

Former Fresno Man Succumbs to Burns Received When Bed Caught Fire

BODY EXPECTED TODAY

Funeral Services to Be Conducted at Fresno M.E. Church Tomorrow, 1 P.M.

John Geese, 41, railroad employe, former resident of Fresno, died in he Mercy hospital, Canton, at 11:30 oÙuclock Monday noon from burns he received when his bed caught fire in the Gambrinus railroad yards, near Canton, last Wednesday.

The cause of the fire is unknown. Immediately following the accident Mr. Geese was removed o he Mercy hospital. Every effort was made to save his life, but he was burned so badly that they were futile.

John Geese was born in Fresno. He had been employed as a railroader in the vicinity of Canton for the past several years.

Mr. Geese was the son of the late Christopher Geese. He was never married.

There are surviving the following brothers, George, of Fresno and William, of Dover and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Clark, Orange-st. Several sisters preceded him to the grave.

Funeral services will be held in the Fresno M.E. church at 1 oÙuclock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be made in Fairview cemetery. The body was to have arrived in Fresno this afternoon.

Funeral services will be held at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Elmer Lynch, of Dennison, Thursday afternoon at 2 oÙuclock for Mrs. Samuel Mullet, former Newcomerstown resident who died at her daughterÙus home Tuesday from heart trouble.

Interment will be made in the Newcomerstown cemetery.
