SAMUEL MULLETT DIES SUDDENLY AT MYERS LAKE

Mrs. Elizabeth King, Third-st. received word today of the death of Samuel Mullett, 79, of Newcomerstown, who died suddenly at Myers Lake, Canton, Monday afternoon at 1 oÙuclock.

Mr. Mullett was a comrade of the late Henry king in the Civil war and a personal friend. They attended the encampment together.

Some time ago he underwent an operation for the removal of his leg. The loss of the leg is believed to have contributed to his death.

He was born in Monroe-tp., this county. He resided in Millcreek and Keene-tps. For several years after the Civil war. Mr. Mullett was left an orphan and made his home with Mike Doppart until he was 15 years of age at which time he enlisted in the 51st O.V.I. in the Civil war. He later re-enlisted in the same regiment.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jane Geese Mullett and one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Lynch, of Dennison.

The funeral services will be held in Dennison a 1 oÙuclock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be made in the Uhrichsville cemetery.
