"Obituaries ... Frances A. Bietz December 14, 1911 - November 30, 1996 Algona - Funeral Mass for Frances Anna-Mae Bietz, 84, was held in the Gellenfeld-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996 at 10:30 a.m. with Father SteveBrodersen of the St. Cecelia Catholic Church the celebrant.

She died Saturday, Nov. 20 (1996) at the Good Samaritan Center in Algona.

Interment was in the East Lawn Cemetery at Algona with the Gellenfeld-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home of Algona in charge of arrangements.

Casketbearers were Alan Wittmus, Jurey Wittmus, Jerry Donaldson, Ryan Powell, Travis Beltz and Joe Reick.

Frances was born Dec. 14, 1911 in Buckeye, IA, the daughter of Otto and Mary Rekena Swalve. She attended school in Ledyard, then worked for Dressman Produce for several years. In later years, she was the supervisor of the laundrydepartment at the Algona Hospital. On Jan. 23, 1931, she was married to Fred E. Beitz in Blue Earth, MN, and they were later divorced. He died in 1980. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening and canning and especially liked to visitwith people.

Surviving are sons, Dennis Beitz of Plant City, FL, and Arlo Beitz of Fort Dodge; three daughters, Viola, Mrs. Marlow Rieck of Waterloo; Irene (Ruth), Mrs. Dick Taylor of Fort Dodge; and Ardis, Mrs. Jerry Dennison of Tacoma, WA. thereare 17 grandchildren.

Also surviving are eight sisters and four brothers: Nettie Isebrand and Annie Schroeder of Estherville; Sena, Mrs. Forrest McGregor of Buffalo Center; Tilie Graff of Sandpoint, ID; Otto Swalve of Estherville; Elsie, Mrs. Harold Selberg;Anita, Mrs. Vern Barlow; Ada, Mrs. Dick Williams; and Andrew Swalve, all of Estherville; and Leona, Mrs. Chuck Kleine of Chatfield, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, parents, and two brothers, Richard and Roy." <>
