"Adah Rippentrop Sept 22, 1916 - May 16, 2015

Funeral services for Adah Rippentrop will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 (today) at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka with Reverands S. Kim and Trudy A. Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery inLakota.

Adah Alatta Rippentrop was born on Sept. 22, 1916, at Lakota, to Jakob and Mary Elizabeth (Bloom) Telkamp. Adah graduated from Ledyard High School in 1934; she enjoyed music and played violin and piano. Adah met Olvert, better known asAlvin, through the Presbyterian Church in Lakota and they married in the church manse on March 4, 1936. They lived in the Lakota, Titonka and Forest City areas all their lives, and lived on different farms before retiring in Titonka in1981. Adah was a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka.

Adah had many hobbies, including bowling, crocheting, knitting, quilting and sewing, and for many years, she would do the quilting for others. For a time, she gathered news and wrote articles for the Buffalo Center paper. In Titonka,she belonged to card clubs, church circle, the VFW auxiliary and always enjoyed having coffee with friends and having family visit.

Adah went to live at the Titonka Care Center in September of 2010, and passed away May 16, 2015, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt. She was 98.

Survivors include children: Donald Rippentrop and wife, Norieta, of Albert Lea, Minn., and their daughters, Layle (Kevin) Fischer, Brenda (Todd) Meier; Sharon Booth and husband, Russ, of Creston, and their sons, Christopher and Matthew(Kami); Edward Rippentrop and wife, Vivan, of Pella, and their sons, Jonathan (Betsy) and Steven (Jan); great-grandchildren; Daniel Fisher; Kelsey and Allison Meier; Alec, Owen, Tanner and Carly Booth; Pieter, Jack, Gretta, Tessara andAna Rippentrop and many nieces and nephews.

Adah was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin sister Idah Bakken; six brothers-in-law anf four sisters-in-law.

Memorials may be made to the Titonka Care Center Van Fund. Arrangements are being handled by Oakcrest Funeral Services of Titonka. Condolences may be left at www.oakcrestfuneralservices.com." <>
