"Beek, Raymond - Anna Ackerman

Raymond was the son of Aggo and Sally Klinkenborg Beek and after finishing rural school, he helped his father farm. He married Anna, the daughter of Mike and Mary Hassebroek Ackerman. Anna graduated from high school in 1926, being amember of the class who had attended all four years in the "new" George high school.

The couple lived all but five years of their married life of 50 years in or near George. Raymond worked at Sudenga Industries for 17 years before he retired. Anna was the janitor for the George State Bank and Ebenezer PresbyterianChurch. She also spent many years weaving rag rugs for people. Anna loved her church activities."
