Mary Braun, age 89 of Worthington, died Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Sunset Cottage in Worthington. She was born June 22, 1918 in Reading to Frederick W. and Minnie (Ackerman) Johnson. Mary was united in marriage to Adolph Braun onJanuary 31, 1937. During their marriage they farmed in Nobles County from 1937 until moving to Worthington in 1972. After moving into town, Mary worked in the Worthington Regional Hospital kitchen and for Hy-Vee. Mary later became a homehealth care provider. Mary is survived by her two sons, Robert (Carol ) Braun, Chehalis, WA; and Duane (Audrey) Braun, Worthington; six grandchildren, Suzanne, James, Ryan, Patricia, Melissa, and Matthew; eight great-grandchildren, twosisters, Margaret Harberts, Worthington; Mildred Onken, Fulda; in-laws, Evelyn and Walt Jacobs, Rushmore; Viola Pederson, Westbrook; Ella Yusten, Colorado Springs, CO; and a life-long friend, Dennis Aanenson, Worthington. She was precededin death by her parents, Adolph in May of 1997, and one brother. If you needed a helping hand, Mary was there, if you needed someone to laugh with, someone to cry with, Mary was there. She loved and supported her family and friends andthey will miss her dearly In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Sunset Hospice Cottage, 1950 1st Avenue SW, Worthington, MN where she was lovingly cared for in her final day"
