"Elizabeth Fodness October 28, 1961 - February 14, 2012

Beth Fodness 50, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Sanford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beth was born on October 28, 1961 in Sioux Falls to Delmer and Margaret Schriever. She grew up in the Tea-Lennox area. She graduated from Lennox High School and attended University of Sioux Falls. Beth worked for Westward Ho Country Club, managed the Great Outdoors Store and began her career with Wells Fargo Bank in 1988. At Wells Fargo she held positions of increasing responsibility and was a project manager, associate vice president before going on disability due to cancer. She was awarded numerous trips and awards for excellence and achievement throughout her career.

She married Jan Fodness in 1985 and they recently celebrated their 30th year together. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her home, traveling and was an accomplished gardener. She was a member of the Sioux Falls Garden Club and hosted the Master Gardener's Tour of Gardens in 2010.

Beth is survived by her husband Jan, mother Margaret Charlton of Lennox, sisters Margaret Jean (Wayne) Larsen of Tea and Amy (Wayne)Fischer of Lennox, brother Richard Schriever of Lennox, brother in law Tom Lykam of Bettendorf, IA and 2 nieces and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by father Delmer and sister, Laurel Lykam.

A visitation will be held Friday February 17 from 5 to 7 pm at Miller Funeral Home in downtown Sioux Falls. The funeral service will be held on Saturday February 18 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

Memorials can be given in Beth's name to the Wegner Arboretum or Children's Inn."
