"Joseph S. Wubben, 68

Funeral services for Joseph S. Wubben, 68, will be held today, Thursday, November 7 at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo Center at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Paul Haugen will officiate. Organist will be Vera Bronleewe. Special music will beprovided by Emi Wubben, Neil Wubben, Mary Ellen Behrends, Mervin Gramstad and Troy Junkermeier. The congregation will also sing. Casketbearers are Aubrey Carter, Jeff Doyle, Martin Wandercheid, Carl Cruchelow, Nathan Wubben and JasonWubben. Honorary casketbearers will be Pat Higgens, Cecil Heyer, Red Follman, John Wubben, Duane Anderson and Roger Reibsamen. Joe passed away Sunday, November 3, 2002 at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. Winter Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Joseph S. Wubben, son of Fred Henry and Grace Gertie (Green) Wubben, was born on Grandma Green's farm south of Buffalo Center. He graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1952. On February 27, 1954 he was united in marriage toClarice Doyle at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Together they fanned in the Buffalo Center area. Joe drove a school bus for eight years for Buffalo Center schools. He enjoyed collecting tractors, attending auctions, looking fortractors and tractor parts and was a member of a thrashing club.

Joe is survived by his three sons: Bruce and his wife, Robin, Wubben of Woden; Rodney and his wife, Vicki, Wubben of Buffalo Center; Richard and his wife, Heidi, Wubben of Iowa Falls; nine grandchildren; several foster children, and aspecial friend, Joyce Wilson, of Buffalo Center. He was preceded in death by his parents,/his wife, Clarice in 1985, and one brother, Sidney Wubben."
