Ethel M. Rowley, age 85, of Reading died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at her daughters home in Worthington. She was born October 19, 1917 in rural Reading to William and Evelyn (Coyour-Coyer) Rogers. She attended school in Reading and graduated from Worthington High School.

Ethel was united in marriage to Floyd Rowley and they made their home in Reading all of their married lives. Floyd preceded her in death on August 10, 1969.

Ethel worked at Campbell Soup in Worthington until her retirement. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Reading and a member of the Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed visiting with her family, friends and grandchildren.
Ethel is survived by her sons, Doug ( Aggie) Rowley, Esterville, IA; Kim (Karen) Rowley, Reading; daughters Judith Pomranke, Worthington; Connie (Loren) Johanning, Heron Lake; one son in law, Stan Vogler, Gettysburg, SD; 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; brother Alvin (Irene) Rogers, Reading; and sister Doris Ricketts, Hadley, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Marilyn Vogler, son in law, Wilber Pomranke, brother Clifford Rogers.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 PM at the Dingman Funeral Home in Worthington.

The memorial service will be Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Reading with Rev. Les Winters officiating. A private family burial will be held at Summit Lake Cemetery in Reading.
